Jon Roethling, Director of Reynolda Gardens, will present, Reynolda Gardens: What was Old is New Again.
Over the past few years much of the formal gardens at Reynolda have seen tremendous changes, bringing the 1917 design implemented by landscape architect Thomas Sears, into the 21st century. Adapting to a changing climate and other challenges such as boxwood blight has called for new approaches to stay true to the design intent of Sears. Director Jon Roethling will walk us through the balancing act of respecting the vision of Katharine Reynolds while remaining relevant to a modern audience.
